Description

The Aurevon is a 720mm tapered table lamp built around an obelisk-style column of black marble with strong ivory veining, set on a stepped brushed brass plinth. A rectangular ivory PVC shade sits above on a brass stem, finished with a small brass finial. The single E27 fitting (bulb sold separately) takes any standard screw-in bulb up to the rating noted on the lamp holder.

At 380mm long and 180mm wide across the shade, the Aurevon suits console tables in entrance halls, sideboards in dining rooms, and bedside tables in larger bedrooms where a 720mm-tall lamp won't sit too high relative to the mattress. The rectangular shade casts light forwards and backwards along the length of the surface rather than in a circular pool, which works well on narrow consoles and against walls.

The marble column is cut from natural stone, so the pattern of ivory veining across the deep black base differs between individual lamps. The raw, unfinished top edge of the marble where it meets the brass stem is left as a deliberate contrast to the polished sides of the obelisk, exposing the natural texture of the stone. The brass plinth is stepped to echo the geometry of the column above and adds visual weight at the base.
