Audacious Oak TV Bench - Sterling

Long and low with a gently rounded body, our Audacious Oak TV Bench in Sterling sits on four round tapered legs that lift it clear of the floor. The front is anything but flat: fluted tambour doors slide across a ribbed face, giving the whole piece a soft, textured rhythm rather than hard edges. At 140cm wide and just 40cm tall, it stretches out beneath a wall-mounted screen and keeps everything at a comfortable low line. The Sterling shade is a cool, composed grey that reads as calm rather than cold, and we like how it settles into both bright and muted rooms without demanding attention.

This tv bench is made from solid oak and oak veneer over an MDF core, with a steel framework beneath for stability. The oak carries a natural, matt-toned character that pairs happily with the grey covering. Behind the sliding doors there is room for media boxes, controllers and the odd tangle of cables, while the top gives you a steady surface for a table lamp base, a stack of books or a pair of framed photographs. Each internal shelf takes up to 15kg when the weight is spread evenly, and the top holds up to 120kg on the same basis.

Assembly is straightforward and takes us around 30 minutes, and the finished piece weighs 18.75kg, so it is easy enough to nudge into place once built. It meets the EN 16121 and EN 16122 furniture standards, and our materials are backed by the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. It is made for indoor use, so keep it in the living room or snug where we intended it to live.
