Description

Our Shadow finish gives this oak TV bench a deep, grounded presence, a dark tone that settles into a room rather than shouting over it. It works against pale walls and lighter floors, holding its own beneath a wall-mounted screen or standing on its own as a low anchor along a living room wall. We chose Shadow for the way it reads as quiet and considered, letting the fluted tambour doors and the rounded body of the piece do the talking. Set a table lamp base at one end and the warm light catches the oak beautifully.

The form is where we think this bench earns its place. Rather than a flat-fronted box, it has a rounded body that softens the whole silhouette, with fluted tambour sliding doors that curve gently across the front and slide aside to reach whatever you store within. Four round tapered legs lift it off the floor and keep the proportions light, even at a generous 140cm wide. At 40cm high and 46cm deep, it sits low and long, the sort of height that suits a screen above and keeps sightlines open across the room. It weighs 18.75kg and takes around 30min to assemble.

The top carries up to 120kg when weight is spread evenly across the surface, while each internal shelf takes up to 15kg, so books, boxes and media gear all have a home. It meets the EN 16121 and EN 16122 furniture standards and is made to the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, which matters to us and, we hope, to you.
