Description

Solid oak in a deep charcoal finish gives our Audacious Oak TV Bench its low, rounded presence, well suited to a living room where you want the media kit close to hand and easy to reach. The body sits at 40cm high and stretches to 140cm wide, with fluted tambour sliding doors that curve gently across the front rather than sitting flat. It is built on four round tapered legs, which lift the piece off the floor and keep the whole thing feeling light despite its length. Oak veneer over the frame carries the grain across the surface, and the charcoal tone keeps it grounded against paler walls or a bright rug.

Behind the sliding tambour doors we set shelving for consoles, boxes and cables, each shelf rated to take up to 15kg when the weight sits evenly across it. The top holds up to 120kg spread across the surface, so a television and a soundbar sit comfortably above with room left over for a table lamp base or a stack of books. At 46cm deep and 18.75kg in weight, it stays steady without dominating the floor, and the two doors slide past one another so you never have a door swinging out into the room. The material is honest here: solid oak, oak veneer and MDF for the body, steel in the mechanism, with polyester from the Horizons S range and artificial leather on the door pulls.

Assembly takes around 30 minutes, and we have kept the steps straightforward so one person can manage it. The bench meets the EN 16121 and EN 16122 furniture standards, the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX, which tells us the textiles have been checked for harmful substances. It is built for indoor use.
