Description

Solid oak in our warm Sugar Brown finish gives this cabinet its steady, tactile character, a colour that settles happily into a living room, hallway or bedroom. We love the way the fluted tambour doors wrap right across the front and curve softly round both ends, catching the light along each groove. Rather than a flat, hard-edged box, we shaped the body as a rounded rectangle and set it on four round tapered legs, so it feels light on its feet despite its generous presence. The oak veneer and honest grain keep everything grounded, while the gentle curves stop it looking heavy in a smaller space.

Practical too, as we always intend our furniture to be. The sliding tambour doors glide open without the swing of hinged panels, which makes this cabinet a good choice where floor space is tight or a doorway sits close by. Inside there is room to tuck away everything from tableware to books and clutter you would rather not see. It measures 67cm high, 100cm wide and 50cm deep, weighs 19.3kg, and takes around 30 minutes to assemble. The top holds up to 50kg when the weight is spread evenly, so it happily suits a table lamp base, a small stack of books or a favourite ceramic, while each internal shelf takes up to 15kg on the same even-load basis.
