Description
At 100cm wide, 50cm deep and 67cm tall, our Audacious Oak Cabinet in Sterling gives you generous storage without dominating a room, and its low profile means the top sits at a height that suits a table lamp base or a run of framed prints. The rounded rectangular body carries fluted tambour doors that slide across the front and curve round both ends, so there are no hinged panels swinging out into your floor space. It works as easily along a hallway as under a window, and at 19.3kg it stays steady on its four round tapered legs.
The Sterling colour is a soft, muted grey that we find settles comfortably against oak, letting the wood grain read clearly through the tambour ridges. This piece is built from solid oak and oak veneer over an MDF core, with steel used within the frame and a mix of polyester and artificial leather in the Horizons S components. It holds the Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certifications on the relevant materials, which is part of how we keep our range accountable to you.
Inside, each shelf takes up to 15kg when the weight is spread evenly, and the top surface holds up to 50kg on the same even basis, so you can load it with books, glassware or a stack of records with confidence. Assembly takes around 30 minutes, and we have kept the steps straightforward so you are not left puzzling over parts. The matt finish and the tactile fluting reward a closer look, and we think the curved ends give it a quieter, rounder presence than a flat-fronted cabinet. It is one we return to often when we want practical storage that still feels considered.
