Audacious Dark Oak Sideboard - Sugar Brown

Sliding fluted tambour doors are the feature we love most about our Audacious Dark Oak Sideboard, and they set the tone for the whole piece. Rather than swinging outward, the doors glide sideways across a rounded body, so you can open one side while leaving the other closed and never worry about clearance in a tight hallway or living room. The vertical fluting catches the light beautifully in a warm Sugar Brown finish, and we have paired it with four round tapered legs that lift the long, low frame off the floor and keep the whole design feeling relaxed rather than heavy.

At 160cm wide, 67.1cm tall and 50cm deep, this is a generous piece of storage that we think earns its place in a dining room, hallway or beneath a wall-mounted television. It is made from solid oak, polyester, MDF and artificial leather, and it weighs 42.5kg, giving it a reassuring steadiness once positioned. To care for the Dark Oak, we suggest wiping the surfaces with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and avoiding harsh cleaners that could dull the matt finish over time. When you are styling it, let those tambour doors do the talking: a couple of ceramic lamps, a low bowl and a stack of books across the top are all it needs. The Sugar Brown colour sits happily against both pale walls and deeper, moody schemes, so we find it settles easily into almost any room.
