This Audacious Dark Oak Cabinet brings softness and function to spaces that need a little of both, and it is the kind of piece we reach for when we want storage that feels considered rather than utilitarian. The low, rounded rectangular body keeps sightlines calm, while fluted tambour sliding doors wrap the front and curve around both ends, so there is no hard edge to work against. In the Morning Meadows colour, it settles quietly into a living room, hallway or bedroom, giving us somewhere to tuck away the everyday while keeping the surface clear for the things we actually want to see.

Standing 67cm high, 100cm wide and 50cm deep, this cabinet holds its own without dominating a room, and at 19.3kg it stays easy for two of us to position. It rests on four round tapered legs that lift the Dark Oak body and let light pass underneath. The sliding doors mean you never need clearance for a swing, which we find useful in tighter spots. Inside, each shelf takes an evenly distributed load of up to 15kg, and the top takes up to 50kg, so it works as hard as it looks gentle. Assembly takes around 30 minutes, and we have kept the steps straightforward so you can have it in place the same afternoon.

The cabinet is made from solid oak, oak veneer and MDF, with steel for structure and polyester with artificial leather detailing from the Horizons S range. To care for it, we suggest a soft dry cloth along the fluting to keep dust from settling in the grooves. Style it low and uncluttered, with a lamp at one end and a stack of books at the other.
