Description

At 140cm wide and just 40cm tall, our Audacious Black Oak TV Bench sits low and long beneath a wall-mounted screen, giving you a generous top surface without crowding the room. The 46cm depth holds a television and the boxes that come with it, while the modest height keeps sightlines clear from the sofa. It weighs 18.75kg, and we have kept the footprint tidy so it slots neatly against a wall or floats along a longer expanse of open floor.

The body is rounded rather than flat-fronted, with fluted tambour doors that slide across the front to hide your media kit and cabling. It is made from solid oak and oak veneer over an MDF core in a Black Oak wood, raised on four round tapered legs with steel for stability. Inside, the shelf takes an even 15kg, and the top carries up to 120kg when weight is spread across the surface, so a soundbar, a console or a stack of books all have a home.

This bench is tested to the EN 16121 and EN 16122 furniture standards, and the textiles hold Global Recycled Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, which tells you where the fibres come from and how they have been checked. Assembly takes around 30min with the four legs to fit and the doors already in place, so you will not lose an afternoon to it. We think it suits a lamp base or a trailing plant at either end, and it works just as well in a hallway as it does under the television.
