Description

Four clear glass shades hang from an antique brass frame, and because the glass is clear the candle lamps inside stay part of the look. Each holder takes an E14 candle lamp, plain or flame tipped, and dimmable versions will work where a dimmer is on the circuit. At 39cm across, it is a middling size for a multi light pendant: wide enough to read as a proper fitting over a table, without crowding a smaller room. Clear glass like this suits a room where you would rather see the light than the fitting.

We reach for this one over a dining table, where the glass keeps sightlines open across the room, and it sits just as happily above a kitchen island or in a hallway with a little ceiling height. The drop can be run short or long, so a tall stairwell is fair game as much as a standard room. Several small lamps spread across the width give a gentler spread than one bright source overhead. It suits anyone who wants the warmth of brass and a bit of sparkle from glass without a solid shade holding the light in.

Glass shades on a metal frame, finished in antique brass, which reads warmer and softer than bright plating and is forgiving of fingerprints. For cleaning we would switch off at the wall, wipe the glass with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away; the brass asks for nothing more than a dry duster, no cream polish and no spray.
