Description
The Atla is a 2-light crystal wall light with a French gold backplate and tiered strands of faceted Asfour crystal droplets suspended in three cascading rows. Two G9 bulbs sit behind the backplate (sold separately, up to 33W each), casting light through the crystals to create refracted sparkle across walls and ceilings. A built-in rocker switch on the backplate allows the light to be turned on and off without returning to a wall switch.
Designed for bedrooms, hallways, landings and living rooms where switched wall lights add convenience, the Atla works as bedside lighting, either side of a bathroom mirror (if the room is not a wet zone requiring an IP rating), or flanking a fireplace or feature wall. The 140mm projection from the wall suits alcoves and chimney breasts where the light will not obstruct circulation. The warm French gold finish pairs with brass, bronze and antique metalwork commonly found in traditional and classical interiors.
Each crystal droplet is precision-cut Asfour crystal from Egypt, known for high lead oxide content that gives superior refractive performance compared to standard glass beads. The tiered arrangement creates visual depth even when the light is off, and the crystal strands are individually linked to the frame so they can be adjusted if they shift during installation. The 1.4kg weight requires fixing into solid masonry or into a timber batten behind plasterboard, using the supplied wall bracket.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Atla takes 2 x G9 capsule bulbs up to 33W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2-4W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or hallway use. The bulbs sit behind the backplate so are not directly visible.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the wall light with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The built-in rocker switch on the fitting itself is on/off only and does not control dimming.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The Atla carries no IP rating and is not designed for wet zones (zones 0, 1, 2 in UK bathroom regulations). It can be used in a bathroom zone 3 or outside zones, typically 600mm or more from a bath or shower enclosure, where moisture exposure is minimal.
How is it fixed to the wall?
The fitting comes with a metal wall bracket that must be fixed into solid masonry or a timber batten behind plasterboard using suitable wall plugs and screws (not supplied). The 1.4kg weight requires secure fixing, particularly on hollow plasterboard walls.
