Description

The Astra is a 600mm cluster chandelier built around thirteen natural Spanish alabaster globes arranged on a brushed brass branched framework. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately), and the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser, softening the light through the translucent stone. The chandelier suspends from a slim brass rod and matching ceiling canopy, giving the cluster a clean visual anchor at the ceiling line.

Designed for dining tables, open-plan living spaces and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Astra works as a primary ambient fitting rather than directional task light. The clustered arrangement spreads thirteen low points of light across the 600mm diameter, producing an even wash below the chandelier. Drop is adjustable on installation by trimming the suspension rod, allowing the cluster to sit 700-900mm above a dining table.

The alabaster globes are cut from natural Spanish stone, so each one shows different mineral veining and tonal variation. Some globes carry distinct grey veining while others read as near-uniform soft white, and the differences become more pronounced once lit. The brushed brass frame has a low-sheen finish that pairs the warm metal tone with the cool stone without competing for attention, and the branched structure keeps the globes visually separated rather than packed into a solid mass.
