Not a fussy fitting that shouts across the room, this is our quiet answer to spaces that need light without clutter. The Asteria Short LED Wall Light keeps its lines simple: a round wall plate holds a short straight arm that carries a flat circular disc shade, sitting parallel to the wall in a soft Nuance Rose. Because it is hardwired, no cable runs down the outside of the fitting, so the shape stays clean from every angle. It suits readers who want a wall light that feels considered rather than loud, and at 15cm across it slots neatly beside a bed, along a hallway or either side of a mirror.

The built-in 12W panel gives 500 lumen at a warm 2700K, with a CRI of 91 so colours around it read true rather than washed out. It is dimmable, which means we can take it from a full working glow down to something gentler for the evening. Rated for 50000 light hours, the panel is made to keep going for years, and the whole piece carries our 10-year warranty. Practically, it measures 9.6cm high, 15cm in diameter and 27.8cm deep, and it takes around ten minutes to assemble. It is CE, UKCA, WEEE and IP2X marked for indoor use. Made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, the Asteria has a solid feel that suits its pared-back form. The Steel core keeps the frame sturdy while the Nuance Rose colour brings a warmer, muted tone that we find sits well against pale plaster, warm wood or deeper walls. Wipe the disc and plate now and then with a dry, soft cloth to keep the matt finish looking its best. Pair two for symmetry, or let one stand alone as a small point of colour.
