Description

A plain flat circular disc sits at the heart of our Asteria Plus pendant, its smooth top and straight rim carried on a slim central stem. There is nothing layered or domed about it; the form stays clean and low, reading as a single unbroken circle when you look up at it. The top wears a matt black finish, while the underside houses the light itself. At 43cm across and 14cm tall, this medium size holds its own over a table or kitchen island without crowding the space above it, and the disc shape keeps the glow directed downward where you want it.

The frame is built from steel, aluminium and acrylic, and it arrives with a 2.7m black textile cord, so you have room to hang it at the height that suits your ceiling. A built-in 28W LED panel gives 1600 lumen at 3000K, a warm white that settles well into living and dining areas, and the CRI of 96 means colours stay true under it. The panel is rated for 25000 light hours and works with an external dimmer when you want to soften things in the evening. It is also compatible with track lighting, which gives you a second way to position it. We back the whole thing with a 10-year warranty, and assembly takes around 10 minutes.

The lamp carries UKCA, CE and IP2X markings, and at 2.9kg it is light enough to fit most standard ceiling fixings. We chose to range this Nuance Orange edition for the quiet contrast the coloured underside brings against the black top, and we recommend pairing it with a warm-toned interior so the two work together.
