Description

At 30.6cm tall with a 20cm diameter, our Asteria Move portable lamp is small enough to move freely from surface to surface and light enough to carry with one hand at just 1.1kg. It is built around a flat disc top that sits on a slim stem over a round base, so the light falls softly downward rather than through a shade. With a built-in lithium-ion battery, there are no trailing cables once it is charged, which lets us place it wherever a little warm light is wanted, from a bedside table to a dinner setting or a shelf.

The finish here is Nuance Orange, a warm tone that reads clearly across the disc, stem and base. The lamp is made from steel, aluminium and PMMA, a combination that keeps it sturdy on the base while staying manageable to lift. Four light steps give us control over how much brightness we draw, from 5 lumen for a quiet glow up to 100 lumen for closer tasks. Battery life follows the setting you choose, running around 168 hours on the lowest step and roughly 10 hours at full output, with a CRI of 81 from the built-in LED panel for a natural rendering of colour.

Charging is straightforward. A USB-C cable and power adaptor are included in the box, and the lamp can also sit on a Qi compatible wireless charger if you own one, though that pad is not supplied by us.
