Made from steel, aluminium and PMMA, our Asteria Move Portable Lamp brings a slim, considered design to any spot you choose. It is built around a flat disc top that sits on a narrow stem over a rounded base, so the light spreads softly downwards without any fuss. Finished in a deep anthracite grey, it stands 30.6cm tall with a 20cm diameter and weighs just 1.1kg, which makes it easy to lift and move from room to room. Because it is cordless in use, we think you will find plenty of places for it, whether that is a bedside table, a kitchen worktop or a shelf that has always needed a little glow.

What we like most is how simple it is to live with. A built-in lithium-ion battery keeps it running away from the socket, and there are four light steps to suit the moment: 5 lumen for a gentle background, 20 lumen and 50 lumen for everyday tasks, and 100 lumen when you want more. Runtimes stretch from around 168 hours on the lowest setting down to roughly 10 hours on the brightest, so a single charge goes a long way. The built-in LED panel has a CRI of 81, and we include a USB-C cable and power adaptor in the box. If you prefer, it can also be topped up on a Qi compatible wireless charger, though that is not supplied.

The anthracite grey finish has a quiet, matt look that settles easily alongside other pieces in your home, and the steel, aluminium and PMMA build feels reassuringly solid for its size. Assembly takes around five minutes, and we back it with a 10-year warranty for real peace of mind. It carries UKCA, CE and IP2X markings.
