This Asteria pendant light brings soft, even illumination to the rooms where you gather, whether that means a warm glow above the dining table or a gentle pool of light over a kitchen island. The idea was to keep the form simple and let the light do the work. This is a plain flat circular disc with a smooth unbroken top and a straight shallow rim, held on a slim central stem, with a single flat diffuser underneath that spreads the light softly downwards. In Pearl White with a Brass Top, it settles quietly into a space rather than competing with it, and we think that restraint is exactly what makes it easy to live with.

The Medium size measures 43cm in diameter and just 4cm in height, weighing 2.5kg, so it feels substantial without dominating the ceiling above it. Made from steel, aluminium and acrylic, it arrives with a 2.7m black textile cord and a metal canopy, and we have kept assembly down to around ten minutes. The built-in 16W LED panel gives 1300 lumen at a warm 3000K with a CRI of 83, rated for 25000 hours of use. It is dimmable with an external dimmer, so you can adjust the mood from bright task light to a low evening glow.
