Description

Made from clear glass, steel, aluminium and PMMA, our Asteria Glass Move Portable Lamp brings together materials we have chosen for the way they hold and share light. The flat glass disc sits on a short stem above a round base, and because the glass is clear rather than opaque, the light spreads openly instead of being contained. At 30.9cm tall with a diameter of 20cm, it holds a compact footprint, and at just 0.85kg it lifts easily from one spot to the next. The LED panel is built into the design, giving a soft glow with a CRI of 90 for honest colour rendering.

This is a portable lamp with a built-in lithium-Ion battery, so we have freed it from the nearest socket. We supply the USB-C cable and power adaptor in the box, and if you already own a Qi compatible wireless charger, it will sit and charge there too, though we do not include that pad. The lamp is dimmable across four warm 2600K steps, running from a gentle 25 lumen up to 140 lumen. Battery life reflects the setting you pick: around 168 hours on light step one, 50 hours on step two, 20 hours on step three and 10 hours on the brightest step four. That range lets us keep a low background light burning for days or lean on the fuller output when we want it.

Assembly takes around five minutes, so it is ready quickly wherever we set it down, whether that is beside a reading spot or carried out to a table for dinner. It carries CE, UKCA (for indoor use), cETLus and IP2X markings, and we back it with our 10-year warranty against manufacturer defects.
