This floor lamp pairs a natural bamboo base of stacking spheres with a 40cm tapered shade in a pearl grey zigzag print. The handmade shade is gathered and pleated with a taped edge and a plain inner lining, and the digitally printed faux silk gives the grey pattern a soft sheen. It stands 1560mm tall and the shade measures 400mm across, so it gives a wide, even pool of light. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 10W and works with an E27 LED lamp.

The mix of natural bamboo and a patterned grey shade suits both classic and modern rooms, adding texture below and a little pattern above. It works well beside a sofa or in a living room corner, where the wide shade spreads a soft light over the seat. The pearl grey zigzag is subtle rather than loud, so it lifts a neutral scheme without taking it over, which makes it easy to place in a room that already has plenty going on.
