Description

The Ashstead Zigzag is a portable, rechargeable wall light with a 16cm Zigzag shade in digitally printed faux silk. It runs on a built-in battery, so it can be fixed to any wall without mains wiring. The fitting has a brushed aged brass arm, measures 236mm high, 160mm wide and projects 218mm from the wall, and weighs 0.6kg. A 1.5W integrated LED gives a warm white light, controlled by a 3-stage touch dimmer.

Without the need for wiring, the Ashstead can go on shelving, along a hallway, beside a bed or in a reading corner. Fix it in place and lift it off to charge, or charge it where it sits. A tap moves the light from low to medium to bright, so it works as a bedside reader or a soft accent over a shelf. A full charge takes about 5.5 hours and gives up to 36 hours of light.

The arm is finished in brushed aged brass, and the Zigzag shade comes in Cotswold green or apricot orange. It charges over a supplied USB-C to USB-A cable, and the rechargeable battery (3.7V, 3600mA) is included. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use. Dust the fabric shade with a soft dry brush and wipe the arm with a soft cloth. The Ashstead also comes with Ikat, Leaf and Ripple shades in the range if you would like a different pattern. The clip-on shade lifts off easily for cleaning, and because there is no wiring you can move the light from room to room whenever it suits.
