The Ashland Bay is a single-bulb outdoor chain lantern in a weathered zinc finish, built around a cylindrical cage frame with clear seeded glass panels and a metal top and base ring. The lantern measures 154mm wide by 327mm tall and hangs on a 1829mm chain (adjustable on installation) from a matching weathered zinc canopy. The seeded glass texture diffuses light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately) while the zinc-toned metalwork shows intentional surface weathering to resemble aged colonial-era exterior fittings.

Designed for covered porches, porch entries, pergola beams and sheltered doorways, the Ashland Bay carries an IP44 rating — protected against splashing water and solid objects above 1mm, making it suitable for use under eaves or overhangs but not in fully exposed positions subject to driving rain. The 432mm minimum drop (from ceiling rose to bottom of lantern) suits standard 2.4m porch ceilings, while the 2306mm maximum drop allows the lantern to be used on taller structures or suspended lower over porch steps. The chain conceals the cable run and can be shortened during installation by removing links.

The weathered zinc finish applies a darkened, oxidised patina over the metal frame, creating tonal variation across the surface that resembles natural zinc weathering rather than a uniform painted coating.
