The Ascot is a 45cm small table lamp built around a sculpted gold metal frame of stacked racetrack loops, topped with a 25cm white domed shade and seated on a matching white circular base. Four G9 bulb fittings sit beneath the dome, projecting downward through the open frame to cast light across the surface below. The lamp measures 45cm tall by 25cm in diameter.

The compact 25cm footprint suits side tables, console tables, hallway tables and bedside positions where a larger lamp would crowd the surface. The downward-throw of the four G9 sources makes the Ascot a useful pool-light for a console or bedside, rather than a wide ambient source, so pairing it with a second lamp or a softer overhead is recommended in larger rooms. Art Deco geometry in the looped frame pairs well with both contemporary and classic interiors.

The frame is metal finished in polished gold, with the loops arranged in a vertical oval that reads as a single sculpted form rather than a wire armature. The lamp takes four G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). G9 LED bulbs are recommended for lower running temperatures and longer life. A warm-white colour temperature between 2700K and 3000K suits the gold and white finish.

Is the Ascot dimmable?

The lamp itself is wired for standard 230V mains. Dimmability depends on the G9 bulbs fitted and the dimmer switch used. If you want to dim the Ascot, fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer.

How is the lamp switched?

The Ascot is operated via an inline switch on the cable. It plugs into a standard UK 13A socket and does not require hard-wiring.

Can it be used in a pair?

Yes. The 25cm diameter and 45cm height suit pairing on a console table, sideboard or either side of a bed. The downward light throw makes a pair useful as bedside reading lamps when combined with a directed bulb choice.
