The Ascent is a 790mm table lamp built around a tapered four-sided polished nickel steel column rising from a 90mm square base to a 300mm diameter black faux silk shade. The polished nickel finish on the steel reflects room light and adjacent finishes, giving the base a mirror-bright surface that changes appearance depending on lighting conditions and placement.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and side tables in living rooms and bedrooms, the Ascent provides ambient and task light through a single E27 bulb (sold separately) positioned inside the black faux silk shade. The 300mm shade diameter diffuses light downward and outward while the hard-backed construction holds the shade's tapered drum shape.
