Description

The Arvion is a slim alabaster pendant light built around a tall capsule-shaped shade cut from natural Spanish alabaster, suspended inside a brushed brass arched frame. The shade measures 430mm high and 130mm in diameter, sitting within an open brass surround that traces an arch above the stone and a flat rectangular base below. A single G9 lamp socket sits inside the capsule and is concealed by the alabaster.

The slim 130mm diameter and elongated profile suit narrow drop positions where a wider pendant would feel out of proportion: above a kitchen island in a multi-pendant run, either side of a bed as a hanging alternative to bedside lamps, flanking a bathroom vanity mirror, or in a stairwell where a vertical fitting reads better than a round one. The G9 lamp delivers focused light through the alabaster, casting a warm glow that picks up the stone's veining.

The brushed brass frame is finished to a low-sheen warm gold that pairs comfortably with both warm-toned wood interiors and cooler stone or plaster finishes. Each alabaster capsule is cut from a different section of stone, so the pattern of veining, clouding and translucency varies between individual pieces.
