Description

The Arven is a 350mm mushroom-form table lamp built from a cylindrical white marble base and a broad polished black metal dome shade. The marble column shows fine grey veining across a honed surface and supports the wider canopy above, with concealed fittings between the two so no fixings break the silhouette. An integrated 3000K LED sits inside the dome and casts warm light downward across the marble column.

At 350mm tall and 350mm wide, the Arven suits console tables in entrance halls, sideboards behind a sofa, and bedside cabinets that are deep enough to take a 350mm shade without overhang. The downward-cast warm light makes it useful as low-level evening lighting next to seating rather than direct task light, and the wide shade keeps the bulb hidden from seated sightlines. The integrated LED runs on standard 230V UK mains.

The contrast between the matt honed marble and the high-gloss black metal is the defining feature of the design.
