Description

The Artisan is a single tiltable recessed downlight built from powder-coated aluminium with a white finish and a matt black interior baffle. The 54mm diameter bezel sits flush with the ceiling once recessed, and the 141mm internal cylinder tilts on a multi-axis joint to direct the GU10 lamp beam up to approximately 30 degrees off-centre in any direction.

Designed for directional accent lighting in kitchens, hallways, retail displays and bathrooms where specific surfaces or objects need highlighting, the tiltable head allows the beam to be angled without moving the fixture itself. The GU10 fitting accepts any standard mains-voltage LED or halogen lamp up to 10W (sold separately), giving control over beam angle, colour temperature and dimmer compatibility depending on the bulb chosen. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only.

The textured white exterior pairs with contemporary and minimalist interiors, while the matt black baffle inside the cylinder reduces glare and defines the aperture when viewed from below. The aluminium construction provides rigidity for the tilt mechanism and dissipates heat efficiently when paired with LED lamps. Installation requires a ceiling void depth of at least 150mm to accommodate the 141mm cylinder, and the spring clips secure the fitting directly into plasterboard or a prepared cut-out without additional mounting hardware.

The Artisan takes a GU10 mains-voltage bulb up to 10W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a narrow-beam LED GU10 between 5-7W and 3000K for accent lighting, or a wider beam for general task lighting.

How much ceiling void depth is needed?

The fitting requires a minimum 150mm void depth to accommodate the 141mm internal cylinder and allow clearance for the tilt mechanism. The 54mm diameter cut-out sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed.

Can it tilt in all directions?

Yes. The internal cylinder tilts on a multi-axis joint, allowing the lamp beam to be directed approximately 30 degrees off-centre in any direction. This allows accent lighting of walls, artwork, or specific surfaces without needing to reposition the fixture.
