Description

The Artisan is a 3-light chandelier built around a hand-formed twisted knot centre column with three curved scroll arms extending from the base, each holding a single candle-style light. The aged brass finish shows deliberate patina and tonal variation across the metalwork, giving the fitting a warm, lived-in appearance that pairs with traditional and transitional interiors.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the chandelier can be hung on the supplied chain or converted to semi-flush mounting using the included flush-convert kit. In semi-flush mode the chain is removed and the canopy sits directly against the ceiling, reducing the overall drop to approximately 400mm and making the fitting suitable for rooms with lower ceilings or where headroom is restricted.

Each of the three arms terminates in a shallow drip pan beneath an E14 candle bulb holder, taking standard small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W (sold separately). The scroll detailing on the arms mirrors the twisted rope pattern of the centre column, and the aged brass shows darker tones in the recesses where the metal has been deliberately oxidised during finishing. The chandelier measures approximately 520mm in diameter and weighs 2.8kg, requiring a ceiling rose rated for suspension loads.

What bulbs does it take?

The chandelier takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Candle-style LED bulbs in 2700K warm white are the typical choice for this fitting.

Can it be used on lower ceilings?

Yes. The flush-convert kit included with the chandelier allows it to be fitted as a semi-flush ceiling light with a reduced drop of approximately 400mm, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights down to 2.2m.

Is the aged brass finish lacquered?

The aged brass finish is sealed to prevent further oxidisation. The patina and tonal variation you see on delivery will remain stable over time without requiring polishing or maintenance.

What chain length is supplied?

Elstead typically supplies 1000-1500mm of adjustable chain with their chandeliers. The chain can be shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height and desired drop over a table or in an entrance hall.
