Description

The Artisan is a 300mm cylindrical pendant light machined from aluminium with a knurled diamond texture across the outer surface, finished in matte gold. The cylinder measures 54mm in diameter and houses a single GU10 downlight fitting (bulb sold separately) recessed within the tube. A black fabric-wrapped cable drops from a matching matte gold ceiling cup.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, and over dining tables where a narrow beam of directed light is needed without spreading ambient light into the room, the pendant concentrates illumination on the work surface or tabletop below. The adjustable cable allows the drop to be set anywhere between 330mm and 1330mm on installation, typically hung 700-900mm above a worktop depending on ceiling height. The 54mm cylinder suits narrow installation zones where a wider shade would intrude.

The knurled diamond texture on the aluminium catches and reflects light along the sides of the cylinder, creating a subtle pattern when viewed from below or at an angle. The matte gold finish has a brushed quality that softens reflections, pairing with warm brass, copper or natural timber interiors. The lightweight aluminium construction keeps the pendant at under 500g, reducing stress on ceiling fixings when multiple pendants are used in a row over an island or bar.

The pendant takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately). Most users choose a warm-white LED GU10 at 5-7W and 3000K for kitchen or dining table use. The recessed fitting means the bulb sits inside the cylinder and is not visible from below.

How is the drop adjusted?

The black fabric cable is adjustable on installation between 330mm minimum and 1330mm maximum. Once the pendant is hung at the desired height, the excess cable is concealed inside the ceiling cup. The adjustment is set during fitting and is not designed to be changed frequently after installation.

Can multiple pendants be used in a row?

Yes. The narrow 54mm diameter makes the Artisan well-suited to multiple installations over kitchen islands or long dining tables. Space pendants 400-600mm apart for even coverage, with the outer pendants set 300-400mm in from the ends of the island or table.

Is the matte gold finish lacquered?

The aluminium is anodised and sealed to prevent tarnishing. Clean with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes, which can damage the matte finish.
