Description
The Armand is a 3-light chandelier built around angular aged brass arms that curve outward from a central charcoal black hub, each arm terminating in a clear glass shade shaped like a tapered hurricane lantern. The three E14 bulb fittings sit inside the glass shades, which diffuse the light outward while the brass arms provide directional structure. The chandelier hangs on a matt black chain from a matching black ceiling canopy.
Designed for dining tables, bedroom ceilings and hallway drops where the ceiling height allows, the Armand works in rooms of 3-4m width where the 732mm span provides scale without overwhelming the space. The adjustable drop ranges from 431mm minimum to 1959mm maximum on installation, allowing the chandelier to be set at the appropriate height for the room — typically 700-800mm above a dining table or 2-2.2m above floor level in a hallway. The black ceiling canopy conceals the cable run and fits standard UK ceiling roses.
The aged brass finish shows tonal variation across each arm, with darker patina collecting in the curves and joints to give a hand-finished appearance rather than uniform plating. The charcoal black painted components — the central hub, canopy, chain and bulb holders — provide contrast against the warm brass and anchor the chandelier visually. Each glass shade is hand-blown with a slight taper and flared rim, so minor variations in shape and thickness between the three shades are normal. The combination of brass, black and clear glass pairs well with both traditional interiors (oak furniture, warm paint tones) and industrial-contemporary schemes (exposed brick, concrete, steel).

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Armand take?
The chandelier takes three E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft ambient glow that complements the aged brass finish.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 1500mm chain allows a drop range from 431mm minimum to 1959mm maximum. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For hallway installation where the chandelier hangs in open space, a ceiling height of 2.6m or above prevents head clearance issues.
Is the aged brass finish consistent across all three arms?
No. The aged brass plating develops tonal variation naturally, with darker patina collecting in curves, joints and recessed areas. This hand-finished appearance means each chandelier shows slight differences in the distribution of darker and lighter brass tones, which is intentional and part of the aged aesthetic.
Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
The drop is set during installation by adjusting the chain length before fixing the ceiling canopy. Once installed, changing the drop requires accessing the canopy fixings and adjusting the chain, which typically means isolating the circuit and partially dismantling the installation. Set the drop correctly during initial fitting.
