Description
The Aries is a wall-mounted crystal light with a square polished nickel backplate and arm, from which multiple cut crystal rods hang vertically in two layers. Behind the crystals sits an opal glass panel that diffuses light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The polished nickel frame measures 229mm wide by 262mm high, projecting 158mm from the wall.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room accent walls where decorative light is wanted without the bulk of a pendant, the Aries combines ambient light through the opal diffuser with sparkle from the crystal rods as they catch and refract both natural and artificial light. The 158mm projection means the fitting sits clear of the wall without dominating narrow corridors, and the crystals hang loosely so they move slightly when air circulates, creating subtle shifts in reflected light.
The crystal rods are cut glass with faceted edges, arranged in two depths to create a layered curtain effect when viewed from the front. The opal panel at the base softens the bulb's direct light output and prevents glare when the fitting is mounted at typical head height (1600-1800mm from floor level). The polished nickel finish on the frame and canopy reflects cool-toned light and pairs with chrome, stainless steel and glass furnishings in contemporary interiors.
The Aries is part of a wider Elstead collection that includes matching ceiling pendants and multi-light wall sconces in the same polished nickel and crystal finish, allowing cohesive schemes across multiple rooms. The 60W maximum rating accommodates LED, halogen or filament E27 bulbs, with most installations using warm-white LEDs between 6-10W for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Aries take?
The fitting takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting.
How far does it project from the wall?
The Aries projects 158mm from the wall when fitted. This keeps the crystals clear of the wall surface while remaining suitable for narrower hallways without protruding into the walking line.
Are the crystals fragile?
The crystal rods are cut glass and hang loosely from the frame. They can be removed for cleaning or if one becomes damaged, but care is needed during installation and when cleaning around the fitting to avoid knocking the crystals against the wall or each other.
Can it be fitted in a bathroom?
The Aries carries no IP rating and is not designed for bathroom zones where moisture and steam are present. It is suitable for dry interior locations such as hallways, bedrooms and living rooms.
