Description

The Arcus is a 2m frosted aluminium cover designed to fit over recessed or surface-mount LED profile channels, diffusing the light output from LED strip tape and protecting the strip from dust and accidental contact. The cover measures 15mm wide by 5mm deep, fitting standard European LED profile systems from Ideal Lux and compatible third-party channels.

Used in kitchens for under-cabinet lighting, in retail for shelf or display lighting, and in commercial offices for coving or desk-integrated task lighting, the Arcus cover clips or slides into the profile channel depending on the specific profile design. The frosted finish reduces hotspotting from individual LEDs on the strip, blending the light into a continuous glow along the length of the installation. The 2m length can be cut to size on site using a fine-toothed saw.

The aluminium construction assists with heat dissipation from the LED strip below, particularly useful in longer runs or higher-output installations where thermal management matters. The frosted surface provides a semi-translucent diffusion rather than full opacity, so some of the LED strip colour is visible when switched off but the individual diodes are hidden when lit. At 2m length the cover weighs approximately 180g, light enough to clip into shallow channels without sagging.
