Description

The Arc is a floor lamp with a slender matt white metal stem supporting a 500mm-diameter fabric shade at the head. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the shade (bulb sold separately), casting diffused ambient light through the white fabric. The lamp stands on a circular metal base finished in the same matt white paint as the stem.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Arc works in modern, minimalist and Scandinavian-inspired interiors where white or neutral tones predominate. The fabric shade softens the light output, reducing glare and spreading illumination evenly across the room rather than focusing it onto a single surface. The 500mm shade diameter suits rooms with floor space for a 600-650mm footprint including the base.

The metal frame is coated in a low-sheen matt white paint that resists fingerprints and pairs cleanly with white walls, light wood floors and pale upholstery. The PVC core of the shade is wrapped in a woven fabric outer layer that diffuses light without showing the bulb outline when lit. The lamp accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the rated wattage (see Specification), giving control over light temperature and brightness to suit the room.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Arc take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in living spaces.

Is the Arc dimmable?

The lamp itself is not dimmable. However, pairing it with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and an appropriate in-line dimmer or wall dimmer switch can provide dimming functionality.

What height is the lamp?

The total height is not specified in the current data. The 500mm shade diameter gives an indication of scale — typical floor lamps of this style stand between 1400mm and 1600mm tall including the shade.

Can the fabric shade be cleaned?

The fabric outer layer can be dusted gently with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using sprays and chemical cleaners on the shade.
