Description
The Apollo is a modern abstract rug in grey and silver. Its pattern looks like weathered plaster: a pale silver ground broken by streaks, patches and flecks of grey that run along its length, so it reads as texture rather than a fixed motif. It is machine woven with two levels of pile. The high pile is 100% polypropylene and the low pile is 100% polyester, and the contrast between them gives the design a raised, tactile surface you can feel as well as see. Both are soft underfoot.
We see it in the living room, where its quiet greys and silvers sit easily with timber floors, pale walls and neutral upholstery. It comes in four sizes. The 80 by 150cm rug suits a spot beside a sofa or chair. At 120 by 170cm or 160 by 230cm it sits in front of a sofa to pull a seating area together, and the 200 by 290cm size is large enough for the front legs of a sofa and armchairs to rest on it in a bigger room.
It is hard wearing, so it holds up in the busiest part of the room, in front of the sofa where feet land every day. It is also stain resistant, which makes an everyday spill less of a worry in a room where people eat, drink and relax. Before choosing a size, measure the floor you want to cover and allow a border of bare floor around the edges of the rug.

Frequently Asked
What sizes does the Apollo rug come in?
It comes in four sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm, 160 by 230cm and 200 by 290cm. They run from a small rug beside a chair to a large living room size.
What is the Apollo rug made of?
The high pile is 100% polypropylene and the low pile is 100% polyester. The two are machine woven together so the different pile levels give the abstract pattern its texture.
What colours are in the Grey / Silver colourway?
It has a pale silver ground with darker grey patches, streaks and flecks running through it. The quiet palette suits neutral, modern living rooms.
Is this abstract rug soft underfoot?
Yes, the pile is soft. It mixes high and low pile, so you feel a gentle change in texture across the pattern as you walk on it.
Is it practical for a busy living room?
It is hard wearing and stain resistant. That makes it a sensible choice for the main seating area of a living room that gets daily use.
