Description
Apollo is a modern abstract rug in the Grey / Gold colourway, with a pale grey and cream ground broken by layered, crosshatched streaks of gold, rather like loose brushwork drawn across the rug. It is machine woven with two levels of pile: the high pile is 100% polypropylene and the low pile is 100% polyester. Those high and low areas give the abstract pattern a texture you can feel as well as see, and the pile is soft underfoot.
We think it belongs in a living room, where the warm gold lifts a grey or neutral scheme and sits comfortably beside wooden floors and deeper upholstery. It comes in four rectangular sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm, 160 by 230cm and 200 by 290cm. The smallest works in front of an armchair or a small sofa, 120 by 170cm sits neatly under a coffee table, and the two larger sizes are generous enough to pull a whole seating area together, with the front feet of the sofa and chairs resting on the rug.
It is hard wearing, so it is a sensible choice for a living room that sees plenty of everyday foot traffic. It is also stain resistant, which takes some of the worry out of a cup of tea or a glass of wine on the coffee table nearby. Before you choose a size, measure the space and mark it out on the floor; a border of bare floor around the edges usually looks best.

Frequently Asked
What sizes does the Apollo rug come in?
It comes in four rectangular sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm, 160 by 230cm and 200 by 290cm, from a small rug for in front of an armchair up to one that sits under a full seating area.
What is the Apollo rug made of?
It is machine woven with a high pile of 100% polypropylene and a low pile of 100% polyester, and the two pile levels give the abstract pattern its texture.
What colours are in the Grey / Gold rug?
The Grey / Gold colourway has a pale grey and cream ground with streaks of warm gold running through it in a crosshatched abstract pattern.
Is the rug soft underfoot?
Yes. The high and low pile is soft, so it is comfortable to walk or sit on, while the raised areas give the design a texture you can feel.
Is this rug practical for a busy living room?
We think so. It is hard wearing, so it suits everyday foot traffic, and it is stain resistant, which helps with the odd spill from a coffee table.
