Description
The Amberhurst is a three light inverted pendant with a 450mm Tiffany-style bowl in multicoloured leaded glass, hung open side up so the light reflects off the ceiling. The pattern is a garden one, with leaf and petal shapes drawn out in leaded glass, and it is easiest to read from below when the lamps are on. The drop adjusts from 600mm to 1000mm, and it takes three 60W E27 GLS bulbs, supplied separately. It is dimmable with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer.
Inverted bowls give a soft, even light with no bulb in view, which makes them comfortable in rooms where you sit for a while. Use this one as the main ceiling light in a sitting room, a dining room, a study or a landing with height above it. At 450mm across it has enough spread for a medium to large room, and it works particularly well under a pale ceiling, which reflects more of the light back. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.
The bowl is made from coloured glass cut and leaded piece by piece, then soldered into a metal frame and suspended on three chains from a metal ceiling rose, so the colour balance and the leadwork vary between shades. It weighs 2.6kg and is Class 1, needing an earth connection, so we would have a qualified electrician install it. Because the bowl faces upwards it will collect dust, so wipe it out regularly with a dry, soft cloth and use a barely damp cloth on marks. Other Amberhurst colourways are available.

Frequently Asked
What does the pattern show?
A garden design of leaf and petal shapes worked in leaded coloured glass across the bowl.
What is an inverted pendant?
The bowl shaped shade hangs with the open side facing up, so light bounces off the ceiling and comes back into the room softened.
What are the dimensions?
The bowl is 450mm across, the drop adjusts from 600mm to 1000mm, and the fitting weighs 2.6kg.
Which bulbs does it need?
Three 60W E27 GLS bulbs, supplied separately. Dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer will give you control of the level.
How do I keep it clean?
Wipe the inside of the bowl with a dry, soft cloth more often than you would a downward shade, and use a barely damp cloth for marks.
Does it need an earth?
Yes. It is Class 1, so it requires an earth connection at the ceiling rose and should be wired in by a qualified electrician.
