Description

Amaya Tropical Birds is a botanical rug that brings a garden indoors. Long-tailed tropical birds perch among blue passion flowers, sweeping palm fronds and soft green leaves, with butterflies and the odd dragonfly drifting between them. The ground is a pale cream, and the blue of the flowers and leaves leads the colourway, lifted by touches of coral pink and warm honey gold in the birds and wings. The design is digitally printed onto 100% polyester, which keeps every feather and petal crisp and the colours clear.

We think it suits a hallway best, and the runners are made for it. The 61 by 170cm runner fits a narrow hall or landing, while the 76 by 230cm runner covers a longer passage from the front door. For a sitting room or reading corner, the 122 by 170cm and 152 by 230cm sizes give the pattern room to spread across the floor, and the 76 by 150cm size sits neatly in front of a chair or just inside a doorway. Choose the same design for the hall and the room beside it and the two will sit together nicely.

Hallways see muddy boots, wet paws and plenty of passing feet, so care matters: this rug is washable, which makes it an easy choice for a busy entrance. Before you order, measure the space and leave a little bare floor showing around the edges, which helps a runner or a room rug sit comfortably and look settled.
