Amarilli 5 Light Chandelier - Black with Silver Patina

The Amarilli is a 730mm diameter five-light chandelier combining a hand-forged black metal frame with silver-patinated oak leaf detailing and clear glass drops. Each of the five scrolled arms terminates in an E14 candle fitting seated in a cut glass sconce, with additional glass droplets suspended from the lower scroll terminals and central column. The oak leaf motifs are cast in metal and finished with a silver patina that contrasts against the matt black ironwork frame.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Amarilli provides both ambient and decorative function. The 1240mm adjustable chain allows the chandelier to be set at a drop between 680mm minimum and 1460mm maximum from the ceiling rose, making it suitable for standard-height dining positions (700-800mm above the table surface) or higher drops in double-height spaces. The 730mm width suits rooms 4m square or larger without overwhelming the space.

Each chandelier is hand-finished by Elstead Lighting, so the silver patina coverage and tonal variation on the oak leaves differ slightly between individual pieces. What bulbs does the Amarilli take?

The chandelier takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most buyers pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional flame-like glow, or LED flame-effect bulbs for moving light.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1240mm chain is adjustable on installation, giving a minimum drop of 680mm and maximum drop of 1460mm. For positioning above a dining table, the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of 2.4m or above. Higher ceilings allow for a longer drop.

Does the silver patina vary between pieces?

Yes. Each Amarilli is hand-finished by Elstead, so the coverage and tonal variation of the silver patina on the oak leaves differs slightly between individual chandeliers. This is a characteristic of the hand-finishing process, not a defect.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

Switch off at the mains before cleaning. Wipe the metal frame and glass components with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks on the glass, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal frame or using chemical cleaners that could strip the patina finish.
