Description

The Amarilli is a 15-light chandelier built around a two-tier black wrought iron frame with hand-forged scrollwork and antiqued oak leaf detailing, finished with a silver patina overlay that highlights the raised edges of the metalwork. Each of the 15 candle-style E14 fittings (bulbs sold separately) sits on a curved arm extending from the central column, with clear glass drops hanging between the arms on fine wire links.

Designed for high-ceiling spaces such as ballrooms, large dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and open-plan living areas with 3m+ ceilings, the chandelier measures 1250mm in diameter and 990mm in height before drop adjustment. The minimum installed drop of 1080mm (including canopy and chain) requires ceiling heights of at least 2.8m to maintain headroom, while the maximum 5880mm drop accommodates cathedral ceilings and stairwells. The frame is hand-forged by Elstead's blacksmiths, giving each piece slight variation in the scroll curves and leaf positioning.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 1080mm requires ceiling heights of at least 2.8m to maintain 1.8m+ headroom beneath the chandelier. The fitting is adjustable on installation up to a maximum 5880mm drop for double-height halls, stairwells and cathedral ceilings.

Is the silver patina a painted finish?

The silver patina is brushed onto the raised edges of the black wrought iron scrollwork and oak leaves, creating a two-tone aged effect rather than a solid silver coat. The patina wears naturally over time, allowing more of the black base to show through on high-contact edges.

Can the drop be shortened after installation?

Yes. The chandelier hangs on adjustable chain, which can be shortened or lengthened by removing or adding links. The chain conceals the cable run, so adjusting the drop requires isolating the mains supply and accessing the ceiling rose to adjust both chain and cable together.
