A single G9 bulb sits inside the crystal body (sold separately), and the light refracts through the faceted surfaces, throwing fragmented patterns across nearby walls and ceilings when lit.

The 130mm diameter makes the Amano suited to installation in multiples rather than as a single accent — three hung in a row over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, five spaced along a hallway, or pairs flanking a bathroom mirror. The drop is adjustable from 230mm minimum to 1730mm maximum, allowing the pendants to be set at counter height (typically 600-750mm above the worktop) or hung lower over a dining table depending on ceiling height and application. The compact footprint means three Amano pendants can be comfortably spaced across a 2m island without visual crowding.

The polished chrome canopy and stainless steel outer frame give the pendant a reflective, cool-toned metallic finish that pairs with both modern and transitional interiors. The crystal is clear rather than tinted, so the colour temperature of the room depends entirely on the G9 bulb chosen — a warm-white LED (2700K-3000K) produces a softer, more amber-toned light through the facets, while a cool-white LED (4000K+) gives sharper, brighter reflections. The 0.8kg weight per pendant is light enough that standard ceiling roses can support multiples without additional bracing.

What bulb does the Amano take?

The pendant takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 bulb between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or a cool-white 4000K bulb for task lighting over work surfaces.

Is the Amano dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself does not restrict dimming — compatibility depends on the bulb and dimmer combination.

How many should be used over a kitchen island?

For a standard 2-2.5m kitchen island, three Amano pendants spaced 600-700mm apart work well. The 130mm diameter allows close spacing without the pendants visually merging. For longer islands or wider spans, five can be used with tighter spacing.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by cutting or looping the cable before wiring into the ceiling rose. Once installed, changing the drop requires removing the canopy and re-threading the cable, so it's best to finalize the height before completing the wiring.
