The Amano is a single-light wall fitting with a faceted crystal centrepiece suspended within three curved polished chrome arms. A single G9 bulb (sold separately, up to 33W) sits inside the crystal element, and the light refracts through the cut facets to cast fragmented reflections onto surrounding walls. An integrated rocker switch sits on the chrome backplate, allowing the light to be controlled without needing a separate wall switch circuit.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, and living room alcoves where both ambient and decorative lighting are needed, the Amano suits installations where the wall light is the primary source of evening illumination in that zone. The 210mm projection positions the crystal element away from the wall, giving the refracted light clearance to project patterns without being blocked by the fitting itself. The three chrome arms each measure approximately 140mm across, framing the crystal without obscuring it.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day and complements cooler-toned interiors, bathrooms (if IP-rated versions exist), and contemporary or transitional schemes. The crystal centrepiece is cut with vertical fluting and faceted edges, similar to vintage perfume bottle stoppers, which creates the characteristic sparkle when the bulb is on. At 260mm tall and 0.85kg, the fitting mounts directly onto standard UK backboxes with two fixing screws concealed behind the circular chrome backplate.

Does the integrated switch replace the need for a wall switch?

Partially. The integrated rocker switch on the chrome backplate allows you to turn the light on and off at the fitting itself, which is useful for bedside or reading positions. However, the circuit still needs to be live at the wall, so it's typically wired to an always-on supply or controlled by a separate wall switch as well.

What bulb does it take and is one included?

The Amano takes a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W. No bulb is included. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, or a higher-output halogen G9 for brighter task light.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you fit a dimmable G9 bulb and wire the circuit through a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself is dimmer-compatible but the bulb must also be rated as dimmable.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 210mm from the wall surface to the furthest point of the chrome arms. This clearance allows the refracted light from the crystal to project outward without being blocked by the backplate.
