Description

At 48cm tall and 59cm in diameter, our Aluvia Medium lampshade gives a generous span without overwhelming the fitting it sits on. It is built around a pine-cone form, with overlapping curved metal leaves layered one over another and left open at the bottom, so light spills downward while the sides catch and hold a soft glow. The Brushed Brass finish carries a warm, muted sheen across each leaf, and we like how the overlapping layers pick up subtle shifts of tone as you move around them.

The shade is made from aluminium, polypropylene and polycarbonate, which keeps it sturdy while holding the weight down to 1.97kg. That lightness matters, because the Aluvia works as a pendant, floor or table lampshade, and we wanted a single shade that would suit all three without straining a base or a ceiling fixing. It is compatible with E27 fittings, so it pairs easily with standard bulbs, and we suggest a warm bulb around 2700K to make the most of the brass and the layered leaves.
