Description

The Knightsbridge 2m floor recessed LED profile is a flat aluminium channel designed to sit flush with floor surfaces, projecting just 2mm above the finished floor level. The profile accepts LED strip up to 12mm wide and includes a 2m opal diffuser that sits inside the channel to soften and distribute light along the run. Four mounting clips and two end caps come with the profile to secure the channel and seal the ends during installation.

Designed for recessed floor installations along hallways, under kitchen cabinets at floor level, and as architectural accent lighting in commercial spaces, the profile requires a 22mm wide cut-out routed into the floor substrate to a depth of 9mm. Once the channel is seated and the LED strip is fixed inside, the opal diffuser clips into place and the profile edge sits 2mm proud of the floor, creating a subtle threshold that guides foot traffic away from the light source itself.

The matt silver aluminium finish provides a neutral backdrop that blends with most floor finishes, from polished concrete to timber and vinyl. The IP20 rating makes this suitable for dry internal floors only — not bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor thresholds. The 2000mm length can be cut to size on site using a hacksaw or mitre saw if shorter runs are needed, though additional end caps and mounting clips are sold separately for custom configurations.

The profile accepts LED strip up to 12mm wide. Most standard single-row LED strips measure 8-10mm, so they fit with clearance. Double-row or RGB strips may be wider and should be checked against the 12mm maximum before ordering.

Is the profile supplied with LED strip?

No. The profile is sold as the aluminium channel, opal diffuser, mounting clips and end caps only. LED strip is purchased separately and fitted by the installer during the installation process.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means this profile is suitable for dry internal areas only. For bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installations, a higher IP-rated profile is required.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. The 2000mm aluminium channel can be cut to shorter lengths on site using a hacksaw or mitre saw. Additional end caps (sold separately, SKU 1MFLRCAP) are needed if custom lengths are created.
