Description

The Alfa is a 7W LED magnetic track downlight with a cylindrical brass housing, designed to clip onto compatible 48V DC magnetic track systems. The 53mm-diameter aluminium cylinder houses an integrated 3000K warm-white LED that projects a focused beam through the black-lined aperture at the base of the housing.

Designed for retail, hospitality and residential track lighting installations, the Alfa provides directional accent lighting for merchandise displays, artwork, architectural features or task surfaces. The magnetic mounting allows the spotlight to be positioned and repositioned along the track without tools, while the adjustable head rotates and tilts to direct light where needed. The 48V DC track system requires a separate driver and track rail, both sold separately.

The brass finish is a brushed satin surface that softens reflections under direct light and pairs with both warm-toned and contemporary interiors. The black internal liner at the aperture reduces glare and defines the beam edge. At 193mm total length from track clip to spotlight head, the Alfa projects approximately 150mm from the track rail once clipped in position, giving sufficient clearance to angle the beam without the housing interfering with adjacent fittings.

Does this include the track rail?

No. The Alfa is a magnetic spotlight head only. It requires a separate 48V DC magnetic track rail and driver, both sold separately. Maytoni and compatible magnetic track systems use a standardised magnetic clip that allows the spotlight to attach and detach without tools.

Is the beam angle adjustable?

The spotlight head rotates and tilts on the magnetic clip, allowing you to direct the beam towards the target surface. The beam angle itself is fixed by the internal LED and reflector design — check the specification or contact us for the exact beam angle in degrees.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming depends on the 48V DC driver used to power the track system. If the driver supports dimming (typically via DALI, 0-10V or phase-cut protocols), the Alfa LED will dim accordingly. Consult the driver specification before installation.

What is the IP20 rating suitable for?

IP20 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm (fingers, tools) but offers no protection against moisture. It is suitable for dry indoor environments only — not bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor installations.
