The Alessandra is a rise-and-fall pendant light with a wide, bell-shaped shade of white alabaster glass. Soft marbled swirls run through the glass and give it a gentle, milky look. The white plastic ceiling cup, coiled cord and shade holder keep the whole fitting crisp and bright. It stands 110cm in overall height and measures 38cm across the shade, a generous width for lighting a table. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 60W. The bulb is not included, so you can choose the colour of light you prefer. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

The adjustable height is the real reason to choose this one. You set the drop by hand on the coiled cord. The shade can come low over a dining table or kitchen island for meals and homework, then go higher again to open the room.
