Description

The Kichler Aleeka is a single-light wall sconce built around a frosted oval glass shade mounted on a classic pewter metal frame with stepped circular detailing. The shade sits on a horizontal arm extending from a circular wall plate, with the glass appearing to float above the metal support. The included 3W G9 LED bulb inside the frosted glass casts warm 3000K light in a soft, diffused pattern.

Designed for hallways, bedroom walls beside a bed, or either side of a bathroom mirror, the Aleeka provides ambient wash light rather than task illumination. At 152mm wide and projecting 203mm from the wall, it sits comfortably in circulation spaces and smaller rooms without protruding into walkways. The fitting mounts onto a standard UK single-gang back box and wiring, with the stepped wall plate covering the installation.

The classic pewter finish on the metalwork presents as a mid-tone brushed grey with subtle warmth, sitting between the cooler tones of polished chrome and the warmer tones of brushed nickel. The frosted glass shade diffuses the LED point source completely, preventing glare when viewed from below or from the side. The metal arm and support structure are solid rather than hollow, giving the 127mm-tall fitting a stable mount and reducing vibration on the glass.

Does the bulb come with the fitting?

Yes. The Aleeka includes a 3W G9 LED bulb rated at 3000K warm white. The bulb is pre-installed and ready to use once the wall light is wired and powered.

Is the LED bulb replaceable?

Yes. The G9 socket accepts standard G9 bulbs up to 3W. If the original LED fails or you wish to change the colour temperature, replacement G9 LEDs are widely available and can be swapped by removing the glass shade.

What installation depth is needed?

The Aleeka mounts onto a standard UK single-gang back box. The wall plate is 152mm wide and covers the back box completely. The 203mm projection from the wall is fixed once the fitting is assembled, so ensure there is clearance in the intended position.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Aleeka carries no stated IP rating, so it should only be installed in bathroom zones where no IP protection is required — typically Zone 3 (more than 600mm from a shower/bath) or outside defined zones. Check Part P wiring regulations or consult a qualified electrician before fitting in a bathroom.
