Description
The Aldridge is a single light semi-flush ceiling light in antique brass, with a glass shade set on a brass fitting that sits close to the ceiling. It measures 20cm across with a 35cm projection, so it has a slim, compact footprint but still enough depth to show off the brass and glass detailing. It takes one E27 lamp rated up to 10W, and the brass and glass combination gives it a neat, traditional look without taking up much visual space.
Its compact width makes the Aldridge a good fit for smaller rooms and tighter spots, box rooms, landings, cloakrooms, or as a matching pair or run of two or three along a hallway. As a single lamp fitting, it gives a softer, more localised pool of light rather than lighting a whole room evenly, so it suits spaces where you want a modest, ambient glow rather than bright, even lighting throughout. Its antique brass finish and glass shade suit a traditional or period style room.
We finish it in antique brass, a warm, softly aged tone that hides fingerprints and light marks better than a bright polished brass would. Wipe it over occasionally with a dry, soft cloth, and avoid household cleaners that could dull the brass or mark the glass shade. It takes one E27 lamp, not included, and a warm white LED lamp will suit its traditional character well. It is dimmable with a compatible dimmable lamp and a suitable dimmer switch, and it sits within our wider Aldridge range if you would like to use it in multiples along a landing or hallway.

Frequently Asked
What size room does the Aldridge suit?
At 20cm across, it suits smaller rooms and tighter spots well, box rooms, landings and cloakrooms, and it also works nicely used in twos or threes along a hallway.
How far does it project from the ceiling?
It projects 35cm from the ceiling, so it has a slim footprint but enough depth to show off the brass and glass detailing.
What bulb does it take, and is it included?
It takes one E27 lamp rated up to 10W, which is not included. A warm white E27 LED lamp will suit its traditional character well.
Is the Aldridge suitable for a bathroom?
No, it is rated IP20 for dry rooms, so it is best suited to hallways, bedrooms and landings rather than a bathroom.
How do I care for the antique brass finish?
Wipe it over occasionally with a dry, soft cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners or polish that could mark the brass or the glass.
