Description
The Alderworth mini table lamp in the flame colourway is the smallest size in the range, 360mm tall with a 200mm Tiffany-style shade. The dragonfly motif is set into leaded glass in warm amber tones, cut piece by piece and leaded into a metal frame, so it keeps the detail of the larger lamps at a size that fits a shelf or a bedside table. One E14 golf bulb up to 40W sits inside, supplied separately. It weighs 1.4kg and is a Class 2 double-insulated lamp, so an earthed socket is not needed.
Amber glass and a small shade make this a lamp we suggest for atmosphere rather than working light. Left on in a hallway it gives a warm low glow by the front door; on a bedside table it is gentle enough to leave on late; on a mantelpiece or a windowsill it reads as a piece of coloured glass as much as a light. Two along a sideboard give a warm line of light in the evening. It suits period houses, snugs and traditional rooms, and sits well with wood, brass and warm paint colours.
The shade is put together by hand from individual glass pieces, so the pattern shifts slightly between lamps and no two are quite the same. The base carries a warm finish that keeps the glass to the front. Dust with a dry soft cloth once the bulb is cool, and wipe marks with a barely damp cloth, keeping sprays and solvents away from the leaded seams. This lamp is not rated for dimming. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. Small and medium Alderworth table lamps, pendants and a floor lamp use the same amber glass.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
360mm tall with a 200mm shade, weighing 1.4kg. It suits a bedside table, a shelf, a windowsill or a hall table where a full-size lamp would crowd the surface.
What does the flame colourway look like?
Warm amber glass, reading as honey and orange unlit and giving a warm low glow when switched on, with the dragonfly motif across the shade.
What bulb does it take?
One E14 small screw bulb up to 40W in a golf ball shape, not included. A warm white LED golf bulb suits the amber glass and runs cool.
Is it bright enough for reading?
Not really. With one 40W lamp it is an accent light; for reading, the small or medium size with two E27 lamps gives far more output.
How do I clean it?
Turn it off and let the bulb cool, then dust with a dry soft cloth or a soft brush. Use a barely damp cloth for marks and dry at once, keeping polish and solvents off the leading.
Does it need an earthed socket?
No, it is Class 2 double-insulated. It is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
