Description
The Alderworth mini table lamp is the smallest in the range, standing 360mm tall with a 200mm Tiffany-style shade. The dragonfly motif is set into leaded glass in blue, cut piece by piece and leaded into a metal frame, so it carries the same detail as the larger lamps at a size that fits almost anywhere. One E14 golf bulb up to 40W sits inside, supplied separately, and the whole lamp weighs 1.4kg. It is a Class 2 double-insulated lamp, so no earthed socket is needed.
A lamp this small is about atmosphere rather than working light. We see it on a bedside table where a bigger lamp would crowd the space, a shelf, a windowsill, a hall table by the front door, or the corner of a desk. Two of them along a sideboard or on a mantelpiece give a low warm line of light in the evening. The blue glass reads cooler than the amber option, which makes it a good match for rooms with grey, green or off-white walls, and it glows quietly once lit.
The shade is assembled by hand from individual pieces of glass, so the pattern shifts slightly between lamps and no two are identical. The base carries a warm finish that keeps the glass to the front. Dust with a dry soft cloth once the bulb is cool, and wipe marks with a barely damp cloth, keeping sprays and solvents away from the leaded seams. This lamp is not rated for dimming, so run it on standard switching. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. Small, medium and large Alderworth lamps and pendants carry the same glass if you want to build it through a room.

Frequently Asked
How small is it?
360mm tall with a 200mm shade, and 1.4kg in weight. It fits a bedside table, a shelf, a windowsill or a hall table where a full-size lamp would be too much.
What is on the glass?
The dragonfly motif in blue, made from cut pieces of glass leaded into a metal frame in the Tiffany-style method. Each shade differs slightly because it is put together by hand.
What bulb does it take?
One E14 small screw bulb up to 40W in a golf ball shape, not included. A warm white LED golf bulb suits the blue glass and keeps the shade cool.
Is it bright enough to read by?
Not really. At one 40W lamp it is an accent light for atmosphere; for reading in bed, the small or medium size with two E27 lamps is the better choice.
How do I clean it?
Turn it off and let the bulb cool, then dust with a dry soft cloth or soft brush. Use a barely damp cloth on marks and dry at once, keeping polish and solvents off the leading.
Does it need an earthed socket?
No, it is a Class 2 double-insulated lamp, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.
