Description

The Albavilla is a recessed LED profile: a long, slim body of white aluminium with a single row of black louvred cells running its length. The integrated LEDs sit back inside those cells, so the light falls cleanly downward while the source itself stays tucked out of sight. It measures 41.8cm long, 6.8cm wide and 7cm high, and puts out 3,750lm at 4000K, a neutral white that keeps colours looking true without feeling cold. For a fitting this slim, that is a generous amount of light.

Because it is recessed, the profile sits up inside the ceiling rather than hanging beneath it, so you get strong, even light with nothing breaking the clean line overhead. We would choose it for a hallway, a landing, a home office or a study, or to light a desk, a workbench or a run of shelving, where a crisp neutral white makes reading and close work easier on the eyes. Its long, narrow shape gives a band of light rather than a single pool, which suits corridors and long rooms well. The black louvres keep the LEDs themselves out of direct view, which keeps the brightness comfortable.

The body is white aluminium, with the black louvres set into its face and a spring clip at each end that holds the profile firmly once it is pushed into place. It runs at 44V DC, carries energy class E and weighs 0.93KG. The LEDs are integrated yet replaceable by a specialist, so the whole fitting need not be replaced when they eventually fade. The installation instructions come as a download, and a qualified electrician should fit it. Before you order, measure the ceiling: it needs a cut-out of 5.2cm and a recess depth of 11.5cm, so check the void is deep enough.
