Description

The Aegean is a 5-light chandelier built on hand-forged brass scrollwork with an aged brass finish and cut glass droplets positioned at each lamp holder. Five E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit in brass sleeves arranged on curved arms radiating from a central forged column, with a twisted drop finial below the main body. The glass droplets are facet-cut to refract light when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier provides ambient light distributed across five points rather than a single central source. The aged brass finish has a darker patina than polished or antique brass, giving depth to the forged detail and reducing reflections under daylight. Chain suspension allows the drop height to be adjusted during installation to suit room proportions.

The hand-forged scrolls show slight variation in curve and spacing between individual pieces, a characteristic of hand-worked metalwork rather than machine-stamped components. The aged finish is applied over solid brass, not plated, so the patina develops further with time and handling. The glass droplets are held on brass pins and can be removed for cleaning. The chandelier weighs approximately 3kg when assembled, requiring a suitable ceiling rose and chain support rated for the combined weight.
